SXSW - Monday
Hey gang, I’m back to blogging as I’m back on tour in a sense. It’s just sxsw, but it is a good opportunity to do get back into it. We loaded up at 9:30 this morning and made a pretty easy drive into Austin which is where I’m at right now. It’s 6:30 and we’re meeting Dead Oceans Label Czar Phil for Mexican food in a half hour. I have to say I’m excited about that. Right now I’m atop the Mohawk patio with Austin. I’m excited about the coming week—we’re playing seven free shows at the places mentioned on the flyer below. Sxsw is usually pretty crazy, so we’ll see how much I actually write while we’re here. I will be actively tweeting though, so make sure you’re following me: jkyled.
Tonight we’re playing with The Lemurs, The Wooden Birds, Low Line Caller, comedians Eugene Mirman (Flight of the Concords) and Nick Kroll (Best Week Ever) along with Decider editor Sean O’Neal DJing in between. Should be fun and it’s free. I think they’re serving up free beer as well. So get out here Austin and temper your liver for the coming week. Josh and Todd just returned with free Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper that, as advertised, is ‘Amazingly Smooth’! Chin chin!
