As promised, a recap of a few of the pranks from the Starlight Mints tour:
Ryan’s computer heist - The prank battle got started in Dallas when multi instrumentalist Ryan “stole” our computers out of the green room. We looked pretty foolish confronting strangers about their whereabouts.
Todd strikes back - In retaliation, Todd did bassist Javier a “favor” by picking up the cell phone he left behind. The rest of the band had to be confused as to why Javi had sent a picture of Todd’s balls to the rest of the band.
The Houston Costume Change - At the House of Blues in H-Town, Evangelicals took the stage in hoodies. Moments before we played a wild and sweaty show, however, we revealed that we were all wearing Ryan’s tee shirts. Although we did make sure to tell the packed house to thank Ryan for his wardrobe skills, which a few actually did during the Mints set.
The Cold One - We waited for retribution from Ryan/The Mints, but when none came we took it upon ourselves in Florida to let him know it was still on. Todd approached Ryan to talk about how angry he was at me, and with a specfic plan to exact revenge. They headed to the green room to chat in privacy when Austin asked Ryan to grab him a brew. But the brews/shelves in the fridge had been sneakily replaced by… And with… Me. As soon as the door creaked open I screamed and jumped out at him. The response was sheer terror. And hilarity.
